Why did I set up this site?
On 9th October 2005 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
The reason for seeking medical advice was that I had noticed blood in my urine, this was the only symptom. After a blood test I was told everything was fine, except for one thing, I had a PSA of 227.
(Normal range for PSA is 0 to 4)
After a biopsy the sample was examined and it turned out the grade of the cancer was Gleason score 7 (3+4).
The cancer had spread outside the prostate so surgery was not an option.
I was prescribed the hormone blocking drug Casodex 150mg daily.
When I received the diagnosis I was in a state of shock and every other negative emotion that goes with it.
I was helped greatly by the Wirral holistic centre. This is a charity that does exceptional work in helping people who have been diagnosed with cancer.
After the initial shock of diagnosis I was determined to research as fully as possible into the causes, treatment and possible cure of this and other cancers.
On these web pages I will explain the course of action I have taken in order to defeat this disease.
Let me say from the outset that I am not medically qualified and in no way will I advise you to take any particular course of action.
Of course we should be in control of our own lives and use our medical team as a source of information.
I firmly believe that the medical profession in the western world is controlled too much by the mega pharmaceutical companies.
I started my own back to health regime and on the 12th January 2009 and my PSA is down to 0.65 and I am free of symptoms.
This is certainly due in part to the prescribed medication (Zoladex), although without my change in lifestyle, diet and supplements I think it would be a different story.

It was when I picked up Chris Woollams "icon" magazine that I realised there was another way to fight this disease.
Who is the website intended to interest?
This site is for anyone who wants to improve their quality of life whether or not they have a serious condition such as cancer.
